Chuck was born in Smithfield Pennsylvania to Dorothy Grace Hibbs and Uriah Alvin Miller. He was one of 10 children. After joining the military in 1949 he went through basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He then went to Landshut, Germany where he stayed until his discharge. He married Arlene Ruth Myers in 1956. In 1958 they had a daughter Nancy Gail. They moved to Arizona in 1961 where Chuck began his own carpet installtion business. He also had his own photography darkroom for a while.
Their daughter married Roy Rector in 1977 and they had 4 children. In addition to the 4 grandchildren Chuck and Arlene have 3 great grandchildren. Chuck's hobbies include geneology, photography, writing poetry, and computers.
